Lod, Israel, 7th July 2026 – Massivit (TASE: MSVT) has announced the opening and operation of the company’s first Europe-based Service Center in Barcelona, Spain – functioning under the company’s Europe entity – as part of the recently launched RapidWings manufacturing platform. The new Service Center will produce on-demand tooling in support of the RapidWings end-to-end Aerospace and Defense composite manufacturing platform.

In light of global Aerospace and Defense market requirements for on-demand manufacturing, the Europe Service Center was established to provide high-speed tooling – including molds, masters, mandrels, jigs, fixtures, and prototype tooling – that reduces traditional tooling lead times from months to days, allowing manufacturers to overcome existing backlogs.

At the heart of the facility lies Massivit’s Cast In Motion (CIM) digital tooling technology that will allow composite manufacturers to bypass recognized tooling bottlenecks and supply chain constraints. Based on Defense projects already completed via the RapidWings platform, manufacturers can expect a tooling lead time reduction of up to 90%.

The Service Center offers manufacturers a seamless workflow from digital CAD design through 3D-printed tool to final machined part. Unlike conventional tooling methods that involve modeling foams, tooling boards, or 3D-printed thermoplastics, CIM technology delivers isotropic tooling that provides exceptional dimensional stability, thermal resistance, adhesion, and surface quality, making the tools suitable for autoclave and a range of temperatures. The molds can withstand hundreds of cycles, thereby responding to the immediate demand for mass-production of drones, airframes, and composite structures.

In addition, the Service Center is intended to serve as the first step for future deployment of global RapidWings service and production centers which will be operated independently or through a third-party cooperation model (Joint Manufacturing Alliance network).

Established to accelerate Defense production lead times, the platform is already operational in Israel and is currently scaling its operations globally.

Built on Massivit’s proprietary Cast-In-Motion (CIM) technology, RapidWings significantly compresses composite tooling lead times, saving clients time and money. In some cases, processes that took 3 months now take a matter of days. RapidWings partners have reported up to 70% savings in cost, versus conventional metal and machinable-board tooling.

Against the backdrop of surging Defense budgets worldwide, OEMs and manufacturing primes in the Defense industry have suffered  debilitating backlogs due to unstable supply chains and outsourcing constraints. Over the past year, Massivit has received increasing demand for manufacturing services from Defense buyers in Europe, the USA, Southeast Asia, and India. Massivit 3D Printing Technologies (TASE: MSVT) has announced the appointment of Brigadier General Chris “Alf” Athearn, USAF (Ret.), to its Advisory Board. A distinguished former U.S. Air Force acquisition professional, Athearn joins Massivit with a specific mandate to support and accelerate the company’s expansion into the U.S. aerospace and defense market.

The appointment marks a strategic step in Massivit’s efforts to establish a strong U.S.-rooted presence and manufacturing ecosystem serving the defense sector.

Athearn brings 35 years of deep expertise in advanced airborne weapons systems, defense acquisition, and defense industrial base strategy. Throughout his distinguished military and government career, he has held a series of senior positions within the U.S. Air Force and the Department of Defense.

He oversaw a defense armaments portfolio exceeding $5 billion that included some of the Department of Defense’s most advanced weapons programs. Athearn served as Commander of DCMA Northrop Grumman-one of the world’s largest defense prime contractors. Athearn was also responsible for oversight of more than 400 defense contractors across seven U.S. states.

Of note, Athearn led the Weapons Capacity Task Force between 2022 and 2024, where he was charged with addressing critical Defense Industrial Base shortfalls and accelerating weapons production. He developed strategies focused on affordable mass production and has pushed for distributed manufacturing, and the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies to increase production capacity and supply chain resilience.

A long-time advocate for modernizing defense manufacturing, Athearn has championed agile production methods that accelerate deployment timelines. His expertise is expected to help strengthen Massivit’s relationships with leading defense contractors, military stakeholders, and key program offices.

The announcement marks a milestone in the company’s strategic refocus on the defense, aerospace and aviation industries.

Daniel Birnbaum, former SodaStream CEO, reunites with Massivit CEO, Yossi Azarzar, after the two previously led SodaStream’s successful turnaround and accelerated growth. Birnbaum has proven management experience in building global companies and together with Azarzar, jointly led SodaStream’s turnaround, culminating in its acquisition by PepsiCo in 2018 for USD 3.2 billion.

Joining Birnbaum on the Advisory Board is Brig. Gen. (Res.) Gabriel Shachor, a former fighter pilot and commander of Palmachim Airbase, who played a key role in the development of unmanned aerial systems. Shachor brings decades of in-depth familiarity with procurement, integration and implementation processes within defense systems, alongside proven entrepreneurial experience as the founder and successful seller of drone company Sky Sapience.

Azarzar explains the company’s new business model, aimed at offering a comprehensive service for composite materials production, including tool building as well as end parts from advanced materials such as carbon and fiberglass.

The new center will leverage Massivit’s high-end additive manufacturing technology, Cast In Motion, combined with Comparts’ extensive manufacturing capabilities for production of custom, composite end parts – particularly for the aerospace and defense sectors.

Cast In Motion technology is the backbone of the Massivit 10000-G industrial 3D printer that enables engineering-grade tooling – using Sika based Epoxy and Polyurethane materials – as well as production of end-use parts and prototypes.
