IBEX visitors will have the opportunity to experience automated, high-speed mold production and custom manufacturing for boatbuilding at Massivit’s Booth #3-951

LOD, Israel, 28th September 2023Massivit 3D Printing Technologies (TASE: MSVT), a leading provider of industrial 3D printing systems, will introduce the Massivit 10000-G at the IBEX 2023 Marine Technology Tradeshow in Tampa, Florida – marking its debut appearance in the maritime arena. Event attendees will discover how the 10000-G system enables boatbuilders to significantly shorten their lead times for production of full-scale marine components.

Based on the award-winning Cast In Motion technology – accoladed at the 2022 IBEX Innovation Awards – the Massivit 10000-G raises the bar for automated, custom manufacturing for composite materials. The system enables high-speed, direct printing of industrial complex molds, end parts, master tools, jigs, fixtures, and prototypes. It facilitates a range of tooling applications including open and closed custom molds, resin transfer molding (RTM), reaction injection molding (RIM), and tooling for thermoforming.

The printer will be showcased via live demonstrations throughout the course of the show, accompanied by a range of printed production parts and molds.

Visitors to IBEX can book a personalized demo of the Massivit 10000-G.

The Massivit 10000-G enables an 80% reduction in mold and master production time for FRP, Kevlar, and carbon components. This allows marine manufacturers to overcome recognized production bottlenecks, reducing downtime for vessels. It also decreases labor-associated costs by up to 90% and significantly reduces material waste associated with machining methods.

The Massivit 10000-G combines the full range of large-scale tooling applications available on the Massivit 10000 plus a range of manufacturing and prototyping applications – including stern extensions, radar masts, interior fittings, and hydrofoils – facilitated by its built in Gel Dispensing Printing (GDP) technology. It offers the full range of Massivit’s hydrophobic, thermoset Dimengel materials that enable perfect bonding for thermoset fiberglass lay ups.

GDP technology, already available in the company’s first-generation product line, has been adopted by manufacturers in 40 countries, enabling production of large components at up to 30 times the speed of existing technologies.

Massivit’s CEO, Erez Zimerman, commented “Following Massivit’s success winning the IBEX Innovation Award in 2022 for the Massivit 10000, we continue to develop and bring to market new products and capabilities in our commitment to solving real-world manufacturing challenges. We’re thrilled to introduce the trailblazing 10000-G that sets a new standard for automated, custom manufacturing and has already been hailed by customers as a game changer that is ‘5 years ahead of the market’.”
